Queer Eye

If you are looking for something heartwarming then this is for you. A Netflix original series initially released on February 7, 2018. It is a reboot of the Bravo series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, featuring a new Fab Five: Antoni Porowski, food and wine expert; Tan France, fashion expert; Karamo Brown, culture expert; Bobby Berk, design expert and Jonathan Van Ness, grooming expert.

 

Marvels Jessica Jones

Krysten Ritter stars as Jessica Jones, a former superhero who opens her own detective agency. Following the tragic end of her brief superhero career, Jessica Jones tries to rebuild her life as a private investigator, dealing with cases involving people with remarkable abilities in New York City. After her encounter with Kilgrave, Jones begins to put her life back together, taking on a new case that makes her reluctantly confront her past and who she really is.

 

Love

Love is an American romantic comedy web television series created by Judd Apatow, Lesley Arfin, and Paul Rust. The series is presented as a “down-to-earth look at dating”, exploring male and female perspectives on romantic relationships through the characters Mickey and Gus.

 

Mindhunter

Mindhunter is an American crime drama web television series created by Joe Penhall, based on the true crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

 

Black Mirror

Black Mirror is a British science fiction anthology television series created by Charlie Brooker, with Brooker and Annabel Jones serving as the programme showrunners. It examines modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies. Episodes are standalone, usually set in an alternative present or the near future, often with a dark and satirical tone, though some are more experimental and lighter.

 

American Vandal

American Vandal is an American television mockumentary series that premiered on Netflix on September 15, 2017. The series is a satire of true crime documentaries such as Making a Murderer and Serial. The first season follows the aftermath of a costly high school prank that left twenty-seven faculty cars vandalized with phallic images. Senior “class clown” Dylan Maxwell (Jimmy Tatro) is accused of the crime by the school. He is expelled, but an investigation into the incident is launched by sophomore Peter Maldonado (Tyler Alvarez), with help from his friend Sam Ecklund (Griffin Gluck), to uncover whether Dylan was the one truly behind the crime.

 

Stranger Things

Stranger Things is an American science fiction-horror web television series created, written, and directed by the Duffer Brothers. Set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the 1980s, the first season focuses on the investigation into the disappearance of a young boy amid supernatural events occurring around the town, including the appearance of a girl with psychokinetic abilities who helps the missing boy’s friends in their own search. 

 

Dark 

Dark is a German science fiction thriller web series co-created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. When local children in the fictional German town of Winden start disappearing, it brings to light the fractured relationships, double lives, and dark past of four families living there, revealing a mystery that spans three generations.

The Staircase

In September 2001, novelist Michael Peterson called to report that his wife Kathleen had fallen down a set of stairs and died. The authorities disbelieved Peterson’s story that Kathleen had fallen while drunk and concluded instead that Peterson had bludgeoned her to death, most likely with a fireplace poker which was discovered missing from the house. Peterson was soon charged with murder and the film details the ensuing case from the point of view of Peterson and his defense team, led by David Rudolf.

 

Safe

Safe is a British television drama series created by crime author Harlan Coben. Safe focuses on Englishman Tom Delaney (Hall), a paediatric surgeon and widowed father of two teenage daughters. He is struggling to connect to his daughters as they still grieve the loss of his wife from cancer one year prior. After his 16-year-old daughter Jenny goes missing, Tom ends up uncovering a web of secrets as he frantically searches for her.

 

The Defiant Ones

The Defiant Ones is a four-part American television documentary miniseries. The four-part documentary examines the partnership between Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre and their leading roles in a chain of transformative events in contemporary culture through interviews with the men themselves and others who were involved.

 

Manhunt: Unabomber

Manhunt: Unabomber is an American drama miniseries created by Andrew Sodroski, Jim Clemente, and Tony Gittelson, starring Sam Worthington and Paul Bettany. 

 

The Sinner

The Sinner is an American crime drama mystery television series, based on the novel of the same name by Petra Hammesfahr. The series follows Cora, a young mother, who lives a quiet life with her husband, Mason. Their lives are torn apart after the events of a beach outing, where she brutally kills a man in public and at first seems to have no idea why she did so. Assigned to the case, Detective Harry Ambrose delves into Cora’s past to find shocking secrets and emotional trauma.

 

Ozark

Ozark is an American crime drama web television series created by Bill Dubuque and produced by Media Rights Capital. Financial planner Marty Byrde suddenly relocates the family from Chicago suburb of Naperville to a summer resort community in the Missouri Ozarks after a money laundering scheme goes wrong, and he must pay off a debt to a Mexican drug lord. When the Byrdes arrive, they become entangled with local criminals as well.
