Welcome to Stephenson College

Stephenson College, affectionately known as 'Stevo', was founded in 2001 and is a modern, purpose-built college offering high-quality accommodation and a well-rounded student experience. We are named after the great Northern railway pioneer, George Stephenson, and are situated on the riverside at the centre of the University's modern Queen's Campus, Stockton. At Stephenson, you can expect a friendly welcome to a diverse community of students and staff.

Why choose Stephenson?

1. We are innovative and evolving: As a modern, young college with a relaxed and less formal approach, we are always open to new ideas giving you the opportunity to help shape your university experience, create new traditions and get involved in developing College life.

2. We are very well-located: Situated in the heart of the main Campus, we are only moments away from all the main teaching buildings and central campus facilities. So after a hard day's work in lectures and the library, it's just a brief stroll back to your college for a cup of tea or a game of pool! The river is also close by giving you easy access to a range of watersports or a lesiurely walk along the riverside.

3. We are a diverse, international community: With students from across the world we have a strong multi-cultural community of students, staff and tutors where everyone can fit in and feel welcome, whatever your background and where ever you are from. Our mix of nationalities means that we particularly enjoy celebrating other cultures.
